John has his Crossfit Level 1 certification and has been lifting weights for over 25 years.
John played multiple sports in high school and went on to play one year of semi-pro football for the Gainesville Growlers. He has learned jiu-jitsu, boxing, and has trained with professional MMA fighters. He became a coach because he loves helping people push past perceived limitations and achieve things they never thought possible.
John enjoys reading up on the latest science in training, recovery, and nutrition, and is kind of a nerd about it.
